About ACASP

Alliance for Coordination of Actions in the Sectors of Public health (ACASP) is a non-governmental organization registered under Law 90/053 of 19 December 1990 related to freedom of associations. ACASP is legally authorised to function since 2022 following the Ministerial receipt n°00001323/ARDA/J06/A2/ALPAS/APPPB. As a public health organization, the association is dedicated at improving the health of vulnerable populations (people living with mental and physical disabilities, elderly people, women and children, refugees, IDPs …etc.). ACASP has organised since its creation several scientific fora and has participated in CPHIA (2022) regular scientific meetings.

Our determination

Determined to forge ahead the plight of vulnerable population and their social situation, ACASP today enjoys full membership with the CPHIA (Conference on Public Health in Africa). However, the constitution and internal regulations have not been modified since its creation. ACASP is presently in a restructuring process. A vision and mission statement have been adopted and validated, as well as the strategic plan.

Our vision

Alliance for Coordination of Actions in the Sectors of Public Health (ACASP) is a composite nongovernmental organization led by public health experts with the aim of addressing public health problems through a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectorial approach. ACASP’s vision is that of a world where the health of vulnerable populations (people living with mental and physical disabilities, elderly people, women and children, refugees, displaced people, etc.) is optimized, accessible, and affordable.

Our mission

ACASP’s mission is to collaborate with the Cameroonian government (Ministry of Public Health), health-related institutions, health partners and organizations (national, international), civil society, and the community in order to optimize the practice of public health targeting vulnerable populations.
